Pitchfork's Top 50 Singles

Well their list is again a complete joke. Their lists never match up with their reviews, so what's the point. Let's look a Rob Mitchum's personal top 20 list.

1. Missy Elliott: Lose Control
2. My Chemical Romance: Helena
3. Killers: Mr. Brightside
4. LCD Soundsystem: Tribulations
5. Art Brut: Emily Kane
6. Purple Ribbon All-Stars: Kryptonite
7. Madonna: Hung Up
8. The Game: Hate It Or Love It
9. Kanye West: Diamonds
10. R. Kelly: Trapped in the Closet
11. Amerie: 1 Thing
12. Kelly Clarkson: Since U Been Gone
13. Three 6 Mafia: Stay Fly
14. White Stripes: Blue Orchid
15. Gorillaz: Feel Good Inc.
16. Coldplay: Speed of Sound
17. Go! Team: Bottle Rocket
18. Darkness: One Way Ticket
19. Bloc Party: Banquet (Phones Disco Edit)
20. Jason Forrest: War Photographer

This guy should go work for Clear Channel, or maybe he already does. Did Clear channel buy out Pitchfork yet? Their "Top 50 Singles" list is horrible. See for yourself. pitchfork

pitchfork singles i actually like-

spoon "i turn my camera on"

stars "ageless beauty"

madonna "hung up"

kanye "golddigger"

arcade fire "rebellion (lies)"

maximo park "apply some pressure"

m83 "don't save us from the flames"

futureheads "hounds of love"

antony and the johnsons -but way too slow to be a single

lcd soundsystem "tribulations"

so that's 10 of 50...and half of those i wouldn't have even picked...what about m.i.a? bloc party? the doves? clap your hands? wolf parade? sleater-kinney?

trash, i completely agree. spin magazine had quite a decent list of the top 100 albums of '85 - '05.
