Ahhh, Brian Wilson, hmm, I mean the Beach boys....no let's be honest again, Brian Wilson. Love a lot of his 60's pop gems. There is something comforting, yet a little sad, about seeing pictures of Brian in that era. His songs do comfort you, and a lot of them are produced on the highest level. This is demo of one of my favovite Brian Wilson, or Beach Boy's tracks.

"In My Room" Demo

My Morning Jacket have released their best album of their short career, titled simpley "Z". The band has always had a engaging live show, but their cd's haved never really moved me. The band now shows they have some staying power, and hopefully will continue this progression. Offered here is the opening track "Wordless Chorus".

The Joggers - With a Cape and a Cane

The Brand new release from these West Coast hipsters is a step up from Solid Guild. The guitars are still turned up, and the vocals still layered beautifully. Enjoy my favorite track from the album, then go buy it for yourself.

Broadcast - Tender Buttons - Warp

This is what happens when you throw Portishead, the entire generation of the 60's, apple computers, and a boat load of acid into a padded recording studio. Singer Trish Keenan said this about the record. "A flower lets go of it's fragrance, Michael lets go of his past and I let go of my embarrassment of letting go."

Broken Social Scene # 1

Broken Social Scene have topped the CMJ chart for the first time with their new album from Arts & Crafts. I just picked up the album this week in Boston, and enjoyed it on my trip back to New York on the shady 15$ bus.

The new album which is S/T comes with a limited edition EP that contains 7 new tracks. Here is my favorite track from that EP.

"All my Friends" is a perfect display of bittersweet intimacy. The song has beautiful-hushed, intimate vocals that float across a sea of soft, sweet chords. "All my Friends" is perfect for a late night ride home when you're just watching everything around you like you're not a part of it. -LM 2005

Welcome to my world...

This sign is what greets people when them come to my office.

Are you sure you want to enter?
Welcome to the future home of Bushwick is beautiful.

This will be a place to hear and see artists.

Our main emphasis will be on young up and coming musicians and painters.

The concept is that a place some may see as undesirable and ugly, others see as beautiful.
